Federation Forest Nature Walk

Photos from our most recent nature walk at Federation Forest State Park just outside of Enumclaw, Washington.

Interesting rock, evidently.  At least it has everyone’s attention. lol

Beautiful snake!

Pond frog and pond scum.

Wonder what the girls are looking at so intently?

Odd rock that had random “holes” in it.

No, we didn’t have lunch out of the display garden.  😉

Heading back home thru Enumclaw farmland.

  1. This looks like a great hike. I love the last photo, with the shadows of the clouds on the mountains. Beautiful.

    • It was a particularly pretty drive that day. The one thing missing was Mount Rainier … it was hidden by clouds even though the rest of the sky was relatively cloud-free. Usually the entire drive to Enumclaw has essentially a front row view of the mountain! Rather awe-inspiring. 🙂

  2. Looks like a great day!

So, what do you think?
